The 58th annual Salone del Mobile: Milano has come to a close, after what was their biggest year ever. The fair hosted 386,236 visitors from 181 different countries, marking a 12 percent increase over the 2017 event.
2,418 exhibitors from 43 countries were split among the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition, Euroluce, Workplace3.0, and the first-ever S.Project, including the 550 designers under 35 who participated in SaloneSatellite. The show also honored da Vinci with the immersive DE-SIGNO: The Art of Italian Design Before and After Leonardo installation at the fair and AQUA: Leonardo’s Water Vision in the city proper.

“We are closing this edition of the Salone del Mobile with a very positive feeling,” said Salone del Mobile President Claudio Luti. “We invested in quality and have demonstrated once again our desire to do even better, working closely with designers, artisans, and communication and cultural professionals to keep on producing product and process innovations and ‘narratives’ that serve to boost the value of design objects.”
