A reservation-only tropical lounge atop The Dewberry Charleston, Citrus Club is the light, breezy counterpoint to the hotel’s lobby bar below. Perched on the city’s highest rooftop, the bar offers stunning views of Charleston Harbor and the Atlantic Ocean beyond.

Design studio Workstead collaborated with John Dewberry to create a private rooftop oasis, comprised of an intimate indoor bar and a panoramic outdoor terrace. The firm also worked closely with Brooklyn-based branding firm Franklyn, to carry the design story across all mediums.

The color palette and whimsical tone were inspired by Slim Aarons’ iconic photographs of the glamorous midcentury leisure class. From the terrazzo floor and bar, and banquettes upholstered in soft grapefruit, to the citrus slice rendered in neon by New York’s Lite Brite, the atmosphere throughout is fresh and playful.
