Premier national real estate firm The Moinian Group announced today a collaboration with Volvo to launch luxury house car services at Sky, the country’s largest rental in a single tower, with 1,175 units. The amenity is reserved for residents of the Vue Penthouses, the five-story, 83-unit collection at the top of the building.
Sky, which opened in January 2016, is located in Midtown West at the nexus of Hudson Yards and Hell’s Kitchen. “This collaboration with Volvo reflects our commitment to providing unparalleled service and ultra-luxury amenities, typically associated with a premier hotel, to our building’s distinctive Vue residents,” said Mitchell Moinian, Sky’s developer. “We are pleased to work with Volvo in this first-of-its-kind arrangement with a luxury rental property.”
This collaboration offers Vue residents at Sky access to a chauffeured, limited-edition XC90 Excellence, with a black exterior and interior. The product is available for Vue residents’ use every day between the hours of 4PM to 9PM. The 7-seat SUV was custom-converted to a 4-seater to provide spacious, distinctive luxury with more legroom and bespoke electronics. Passengers enjoy in-seat amenities including massage, heated and air cooled seats, beverage heating and cooling options, and Orrefors Swedish crystal champagne flutes. iPad holders complement the setup and Ultra soft Nappa leather adorns the seats. The MSRP for the Scandinavian-designed vehicle is $105,000.
“When a resident wants to see a Broadway show, attend an event at Madison Square Garden, explore galleries, cafes or boutiques in Chelsea or Hell’s Kitchen, or soak up the sun on the riverfront piers, our Volvo house car can chauffer them to their desired destination in minutes,” said Natasha Vardi, SVP of Residential Properties at Moinian Group. “Travel in the vehicle will cover the West Side, from the High Line to Columbus Circle, and everything in between,” Vardi said.
