Zero George Street is an idyllic Charleston retreat with its equally enticing Zero Restaurant and Bar. Zero George is located in Charleston’s Ansonborough neighborhood and is made up of five buildings connected by an intimate network of courtyards and outdoor entertaining spaces. The building is a historic 18th-century carriage house reinvented as a fresh, contemporary design.
The new redesign includes the 16-suite Zero George Hotel and the reception doubles as a 110 square foot kitchen Zero Restaurant + Bar. The restored brick Kitchen stands out with a French enamel cooking range and intimate setting that services up to 500 plates/night for the 40-seat restaurant. The restaurant also offers seasonal weekly cooking classes with Executive Chef Vinson Petrillo and visiting nationally-acclaimed Kristen Kish (YES! Two Top Chef Champions!).
The hotel’s Soft French-hued palate and crisp white linens make the hotel feel luxurious and southern bred. Also, Circa Lighting (based in Savannah, GA) and North Carolina made furniture furnishes the former cottage which emphasizes the hotel’s classic and contemporary design.
However, if you’re not ready for Zero George’s hotel or restaurant, make sure to grab a coffee, French croissant, and delicious Hot Toddy at the Zero Cafe + Bar. Here, you can relax with a southern Charleston view on its tranquil porch. In other words, Zero George Street is just another mega reason to visit the South’s exquisite Charleston, South Carolina.
