Tara Bernerd, the British doyenne of luxury hotel and yacht design, is taking her talents to Miami Beach for the first time with The Perigon, an oceanfront condominium tower featuring architecture by OMA.
Celebrated for her ability to create new icons in every new market she enters, from Hong Kong and Osaka to New York and Los Angeles, Bernerd is highly sought-after for her signature style that regularly attracts five-star brands such as Four Seasons, Rosewood, Belmond and Thompson. With The Perigon, she has been tasked with the incredible challenge of building a new brand from the ground up.
Inspired by the city’s natural environment and palpable sailing culture, Bernerd sought to create bright, sophisticated interiors that encapsulate the privilege of living on the water. OMA’s vision for the tower also informed her designs and set the scene for a luxury lifestyle unique to this building with panoramic views overlooking the soothing tides of the Atlantic, the distinguished waters of Biscayne Bay, and the illustrious Miami skyline.
Set to open in 2025, Bernerd is working to combine the sophistication of a European riviera and the essence of a five-star resort to establish The Perigon as Miami Beach’s premier destination for oceanfront living.
