“As you stand in front of the panoramic views of the Bay with Treasure Island in the near distance, it feels like you could be living in any moment of San Francisco history,” says designer Ken Fulk.
“Throughout the years, this city has been a gateway to the Pacific and the world beyond – and we are on that same world stage again – so that was our inspiration.”
Uncle Harry’s – a private, top-floor residents lounge designed by The Harrison’s creative director and designer, Ken Fulk – is the pinnacle of style and sophistication.
Located on the 49th floor atop the 298- unit luxury residential tower and perched on San Francisco’s Rincon Hill, Uncle Harry’s has 100 linear feet of windows overlooking unobstructed views of the Bay, Bay Bridge and East Bay Hills.
The 3,500-square-foot lounge is enveloped in turquoise lacquered walls and boasts a global collection of vintage and new furnishings, including an exquisite palette of textures, such as blue velvet, brass fretwork, black marble and distressed wood, along with patterned textiles that recall an adventurer’s travels – safari themed chintz, vintage African Kuba cloth, and crocodile-embossed leather. Uncle Harry’s will create a singular look and feel, capturing this innovative and fascinating moment in the city’s history for a unique experience on par with San Francisco’s most exclusive social destinations.
Designed to be equally accommodating for The Harrison’s resident community and for hosted group and private events, the large main living room features a bar and a dramatic double-sided fireplace, with curvaceous sofas and vintage swivel chairs offering numerous seats to take in the stunning views. A separate, smaller room can be reserved for a more intimate dinner party setting; it includes a private dining table to seat 14 and an adjacent catering kitchen that includes two Bertazzoni ranges, as well as Fisher Paykel warming ovens and refrigerators.
