Inside This Aptly-Nicknamed “Wallpaper House” In Westwood, CA

This multimillion-dollar home in Westwood, CA exudes extravagance— from the inside out. Perched on a beautiful knoll on one of Westwood’s most sought-after streets sits the four-bedroom, four-bathroom home of Kristin Jones, EVP of AMC Networks. The contemporary and curvilinear exterior is accentuated by its interior details, which feature 10 striking artistic custom & designer wallpapers throughout, as well as a slew of vintage re-upholstered furnishings. With the focus of this home being print, pattern and bold color, it should come as no surprise this home has been (rightfully) dubbed “The Wallpaper House.”

As you enter the home, you are immediately greeted by a contrasting black-and-white striped wallpaper by Farrow and Ball, and custom tiling by Josip Muder. Accented by natural wooden floors and pops of blue, along with a stunning glass chandelier by Venini, this entryway sets the tone for the whimsy and exuberance of the rest of what lies inside.

The main living space offers a respite from the bold pattern of the entryway but does not sacrifice detail. Vintage reupholstered swivel chairs in a Schumacher toile, as well as magenta Donghia velvet sofa and chairs offer comfort and style when lounging. Views out onto the shaded yard and pool from the double glass sliding doors also bring a fresh air to the space.

The lower-level sunroom transports you to a brand new destination. Rattan chairs sourced from 1stDibs and tropical Ananbo wallpaper are tied perfectly together with gold and evergreen accents and dark stained wood flooring. You might think you are vacationing in a jungle villa as you relax here to sip on sweet drinks before stepping outside to sunbathe, or if you decide to enjoy a nighttime swim after warming up next to the outdoor fireplace. The lushly landscaped yard invites easy indoor-outdoor entertaining areas for dining alfresco.

Gold remains a thematic tone in the dining room pictured here. Vintage gold Neisha Crossland wallpaper is matched by soft bronze metal chairs from Willy Rizzo for Cidue. The room is grounded in the large black table from Modshop. Dine like contemporary royalty while under the light of the radiant golden fixture above.

The primary bedroom is much softer than the other rooms of the house, but still has those signature pops of color and pattern. Relax into the clouds of the grey and white lithograph-style wallpaper by Fornasetti. Juxtaposing the curves of this room are the hard-lines of the lucite and metal bedframe from Modshop. The royal purple velvet chairs sit in curved windows facing the yard, which offers a place to relax with exhilarating skyline views, as well as the attached golf course.

Continuing the subdued-yet-sophisticated tone from the bedroom is the master bathroom. Marble countertops are matched with the choice in wallpaper by Nicky Rising Ltd. Soft greys and whites offer relaxation alongside the accents of brushed silver. This luxurious bathroom offers a full overhead shower as well as a bathing tub with jet options, and his and her sinks.

Step back into the main theme of the house with the downstairs lounge in teal-colored lacquer walls, vintage movies posters, and a black and white rug. The curved couch offers a perfect seating arrangement for a family and friends to relax and enjoy the fireplace and TV. The fully installed wet bar, as well as a vintage popcorn maker also make this room the perfect spot for screening movies and finishing off a night of entertainment.
