ASPIRE Metro magazine has pulled together the metro region’s design elite to decorate more than 15,000 square-feet of open loft space, encompassing 34 rooms for the 2015 Metro Designer Showhouse at the former Unilever World Research Headquarters-designed by renowned architects Skidmore, Owings, & Merril, re-imagined and luxuriously updated in Edgewater, New Jersey.

The Metro Designer Showhouse was produced with top real-estate developer National Resources, builders of many Metropolitan waterfront communities including the Pearl, Edgewater Harbor and Hudson Harbor, all of which “exemplify waterfront living” says Steven Mandel, ASPIRE Metro magazine publisher and Metro Showhouse Founder. “Metropolitan New York and New Jersey is home to the most stunning residences in the world, and millions around the globe want to emulate that lifestyle. These are the designers behind those residences.”

Having worked until the very last second before the doors opened to an overflow crowd last week at the Metro Designer Showhouse opening night gala, these  tastemakers feature sensory and tactile delight with upscale products in furniture, lighting, fabric and more from more than 120 companies. The designers thoughtfully put their spaces together incorporating the property’s stunning views and open floor plans in mind.

Mandel sums it up: “Everything looks very sun-kissed and personal,  and will satisfy even the most demanding design critics in the region.”

The Metro Designer Showhouse is now open to the public. Tickets can be purchased online at MetroShowhouse.com or at the door, and all ticket sales benefit the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater New Jersey Chapter.
