Arte’s New Arrivals Celebrate The Power Of Texture

Arte knows that your walls don’t have to talk to make a statement; all they need is the right wallcovering. Since its founding in 1981, the Belgian brand has offered well-appointed wallcoverings by bridging the gap between thoughtful design and forward-thinking innovation—be it Arte’s use of advanced technology or its commitment to sustainable processes. This season, Arte is expanding its inventory with two collections that highlight the myriad of ways to incorporate some unexpected texture into your space.

With its Metal X Patina collection, Arte is letting its offerings shine at full wattage. Inspired by old painting techniques and crafts, each repeat is printed on metal foil to create a distressed, plaster-like look on the walls. The magic lies in Arte’s advanced printing technology, which works hard to combine a matte backdrop with illustrious highlights to create a natural patina.

Though metallic might have the reputation of being a tad one-note, Arte offers plenty of personal with five patterns and a total of 33 colorways. From the series of thick, curved brushstrokes seen on the Impasto repeat, to the Chalk Stone’s tile-like design (pictured above), to the silky nature of the Alepine, Metal X Patina offers something for everyone to embrace their glamorous side.

Of course, metallics aren’t the only way to give your walls a textural touch. Arte is also exploring the more natural end of the surface spectrum with its Les Naturels collection. Here, Arte draws inspiration from a range of natural materials to evoke a calming environment that puts Mother Nature front and center. La Prairie offers a realistic representation of woven grass, while Arte’s Le Raphia Tissé and Le Sisal offer the brand’s interpretation of raffia and sisal, respectively. But, should you crave a pop of pattern, look to the collection’s botanical repeats: Verdure, a lush leaf pattern that pays homage to tapestries of the 16th century, and a lush, panoramic mural called Rêverie Tropicale.

Whether you’re craving a glamorous edge or a bit of nature’s bounty, Arte’s new arrivals prove that walls that wow are just a touch away.
