Tile industry veteran and founder of clé, Deborah Osburn has long been a champion of the timelessness offered by cement tile. Handmade by skilled artisans, the unique style was relatively unknown when the tile company first introduced them to America, despite a storied history of use among builders for hundreds of years. But that is no longer the case as clé has continued to offer a product with silky, matte finishes and vibrant, variegated colors.
Their latest drop, Cinema Collection: Mythology, celebrates the richness and expressiveness of color through seven different color stories. Designed by Osbourne, the collection of 8×8 cement tile consists of a completely re-imagined palette of 34 hues offered in 47 original checkerboard duos and trios in seven color stories: foxglove, dartmoor, flanders, oz, wildwood, wonderland, and salon.
Take a look at the colorways below in the brand’s own words:

foxglove | Dappled spring tones, lush meadows, village fêtes, and spring grasses against a cloudless, endless sky.

dartmoor | Wild romance: a dance of dark and moody earthy hues, where the manor meets the wilderness.

flanders | A world of filtered greys, blues, and high-gloss tones, of water reflected light.

oz | Think electric flowerchild, and grown-up-hippy-meets-studio-54.

wildwood | Think musky pastels with dusky earthtones–sugar and spice and nothing nice.

wonderland | It’s where country vintage pastels cavort with regal overtones.

salon | Echoes of 1920s Paris. Faded, dusty romantic hues. Subtle sophistication.
