Alexandra Naranjo is well known for keeping her style fresh, spirited, and timeless. She only takes on a few clients a year with her boutique firm Alexandra Naranjo Designs, so that each project receives the attention it deserves. With a belief that spaces should be carefully curated to fit each client, Alexandra has cemented her status as a leading design voice, and was selected as one of the World’s Leading Design Names for 2019. Get to know Alexandra in this week’s Designer Friday.
Understanding a client’s lifestyle is what Alexandra truly focuses on. She gets to know their wants and needs and executes just that.
Andrew Joseph: What’s a guilty pleasure you have?
Alexandra Naranjo: I’m often asked what my guilty pleasures are and I have to admit that really good ice-cream is definitely on the list. When I want to treat myself, I like a nice Lemon flavored Gelato!
Andrew: What’s your design pet peeve?
Alexandra: Shutter blinds (I can’t stand them, I find they get rid of natural light and don’t bring any warmth to the room).
It’s all about details when it comes to Alexandra’s designs. She is valued for this characteristic and consistently executes this in every room.
Andrew: How would you define your work in three words?
Alexandra: Timeless, Classic and Colorful.
Andrew: Secret talent?
Alexandra: Photographic memory. I remember exact colors, places, I even remember rooms in movies more than the storyline.
Andrew: What’s your current TV obsession?
Alexandra: The Crown, I’m obsessed with the Royal family!
