Andrew Joseph: You’re the newest Crayola color. What color are you and why?
Jessica Davis: My color would be “inspire.” Half of my crayon is fuchsia, and the other is grass green. I love bold colors, and I believe these colors playing off of each other inspire creativity.

AJ: What’s a guilty pleasure you have?
JD: Sweets… specifically baked goods. I eat ALL the cake. It’s a problem. Oh, and champagne… with the cake.

AJ: What’s your favorite cocktail?
JD: A good Bloody Mary!

AJ: What are three words to describe where you live?
JD: Energetic, whimsical, romantic.

AJ: What is something you hope to see trending in design in the future?
JD: I hope we’ll see more colors! I think deep jewel tones paired tone-on-tone in solids and patterns will go a long way this year.

Deep teal-colored walls make for a cozy dining room, while the wallpaper beyond creates needed tension. The clear acrylic chairs softly fade into the background allowing the wooden table with visible grain to take center stage in a subtle yet charming way.

AJ: What would you like to be remembered for?
JD: In life, kindness and grace. Professionally, I’d like to be remembered for providing good mentorship and as a designer who creates light-hearted spaces.

AJ: What’s your design pet peeve?
JD: Color lacking monochromatic earth tone trends. Like I said earlier… If there’s one thing I hope to see trending in the future, it’s definitely color!

AJ: What’s something you always travel with?
JD: Valium.

AJ: What would be the name of your debut album?
JD: “You’re probably wrong.”

AJ: What was your first job?
JD: I was a dancer at Twitty City. I had to dress up like a red bird and then a Christmas clown for Christmas shows.

AJ: What are you most proud of?
JD: I am proud of my two boys (8 and 9 years old). They are way cooler than me!

AJ: What are your beauty secrets?
JD: Botox.

AJ: How would you describe your personal style?
JD: Unexpected, playful, weird, collected.

AJ: What’s your biggest fear in life?
JD: Being eaten by a shark.

AJ: Best advice you’d give your teenage self?
JD: Slow down and pay attention.
