Houston-based residential, commercial and hospitality designer Nina Magon launches her first-ever home collection at retail on Bergdorf Goodman’s prestigious 7th floor this September.
“As a fashion-loving girl from Texas, Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman have always represented the best of everything in the luxury goods world in my hometown and in NYC,” says Magon. “There is no better place in the world than Bergdorf Goodman to launch my first-ever Home Collection to their discerning customer.”
The collection will consist of furniture, lighting, tabletop, and accessories which Magon has created with a variety of artisans and brands in both Europe and the US. The furniture and accessories were created In Turkey in conjunction with marble artisans she came across on her travels. They also have an ancillary furniture business which brought to fruition Magon’s design for spectacular limited-edition collector’s pieces – tables in brilliantly colored marble and glass and upholstered furniture. Magon worked with a manufacturer in Portugal to create the PAVOS Collection of porcelain dinner ware and with the Manhattan-based Von Gern Home to produce coordinating placemats. Lighting was manufactured in LA by her licensor, Studio M Lighting and custom powder coated to be exclusive to Bergdorf Goodman.
“When we first met Nina and became familiar with her work for high end luxury residences, hotels and culinary establishments across the globe it was clearly evident that the interiors and products she creates are synonymous with what the BG customer is craving,” says Andrew Mandell, GMM of Bergdorf Goodman’s Seventh Floor Home division. “Our clients are constantly asking our sales associates where to buy unique collector’s items for the home that are not found everywhere. When we came upon Nina we had our answer.”
