The construction shows high quality and great attention to Art Deco Design details: the hand sculpted bronze-edged double ovals in the front decorated in black and pure gold glass, the whole structure outlined with bronze, the hand-made handles accented with black glass and superb Design for the base with splayed short legs. Early-1940s-Glamourous-Italian-Pair-of-Side-Chairs-in-Black-Silk-VelvetEarly 1940s Side Chairs in Black Silk Velvet: Delightful Italian pair of entry or side chairs of elegant design, in extraordinary original condition. The original fabric is extremely interesting in a diamond pattern weaved black silk and velvet of such quality that it picks up dark blue and purple reflections. The elaborated and detailed hand carved side decorations are in gilt and black lacquered wood, as the front legs ending with bronze sabot.

The piece is whole bronze edged and the front, with an elegant and unusual bowed shaped central part, presents a decoration with pure gold leaf and ivory glass, with the addition of nice chased bronze insets to define the design and the corners. The 6 drawers are all lined with black velvet.
